Odiot presents the gold and silver wall lamps  created by Hubert Le Gall, who uses the traditional silverware lamp genre to create a free, joyful poetic and sensitive design. The light plates which were  fashionable in France and Holland in the 17th century are here associated with the shields of Kenyan warriors.

Although Hubert Le Gall’s ’lamps’ collection for Odiot evokes a classical lamp genre, the collection is transposed in a dream like world which draws on immense  universal imagery. Thus, the formal bouillotte lamps break out of the Empire style transforming into lamps from an Oriental tale.

By opening its workshop’s doors to Hubert Le Gall, Odiot let in a breath of jubilant, magnificent poetry. The candle holders are mounted on Celtic or Sythian warrior neck chains, blunted by the centuries.
