Inspired by a drawing by Garneray in 1800, this fruit basket is typical of the transitional period between the style “à l’antique” much in vogue atthe end of the 18th century, and the advent ofthe “Empire” style.

With the hooded falcon supporting this contemporary-style fruit basket, Odiot remainsfaithful to the ancestral “savoir-faire” of French silversmiths, while broadening its creative scope to include an innovative approach to figurativesculpture.

This piece is reminiscent of the work of the famous sculptor Thomire, with whom Odiot often worked. Similar pieces were manufactured in sterling silver for Tsar Alexander 1 in 1814.

This sumptuous tureen was first manufactured in 1817, as part of a set of 219 pieces comissionned by Count Demidoff. The original pièce is presently exhibited at the Louvre museum.

With its shell shaped bowls and its dolphins, this large centerpiece is reminiscent of the ornamental ponds of the Versailles palace gardens.

This large decorative vase is similar to those produced for the Imperial Court of Russia.
